Chief Inspector Damian Kane, local area commander for Greenock, said: “Obviously this man’s death is devastating for his family and very concerning for the wider community. "Extensive police enquiries are ongoing at this time and officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and carrying out door-to-door inquiries."
