Police have issued a stark warning after lasers were shone at planes as they approached Aberdeen Airport three times in the last week

.

Those responsible are warned that shining lights at aircrafts not only puts the lives of those on board the aircraft at risk but also the people on the ground. "Members of the public who witness or are aware of anyone conducting this type of incredibly reckless behaviour should contact Police Scotland immediately.”

"Information we have so far suggests the laser was coming from the Northfield area of the City possibly close to Auchmill Golf Course.
