A CID officer has reassured residents they are doing “all they can” to track down the thugs responsible for robbing a pensioner in his own home near Glasgow.
Detectives say the incident took place on Broomfield Avenue shortly after 7pm, with the gang then making off a short time later in a black Audi A3 or S3. Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson of CID said: “We are acutely aware of the distress and upset of having your home broken into causes to families and the impact this has on the local community.
