Dispersal orders are in place in Tameside after reports of a large group of youths causing 'scenes of violence, disorder and criminal damage.
Officers arrived on scene, dispersed the group and a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. He remains in custody for questioning. Chief Inspector Dave Henthorne said: “This was an alarming incident for many residents in the area. The scenes of violence, disorder and criminal damage last night are totally unacceptable and it is very fortunate that no one was seriously hurt. Violence has no place on our streets or in our communities and we are determined to hold those responsible to account.
