The Bayonne Police Department and the security staff at Bayonne High School are investigating a “safety threat” at the school Monday morning, school officials said on social media platforms. District officials said the school “has received what we believe is a non-credible safety threat. However, out of an abundance of caution, Bayonne Police Department is assisting Bayonne Security in a thorough investigation.”A shelter-in-place order was given at the school, officials said. “We will exit our shelter in place as soon as possible,” the district advisory said.
