Dallas police did not say what led up to the shooting. Officers are continuing to investigate.
Police are investigating a shooting in northeast Dallas after officers found a man shot and another fatally with an apparent self-inflicted wound.
Dallas police officers responded to a shooting about 12:50 p.m. in the 5800 block of Pineland Drive, near Greenville Avenue. When officers arrived,Authorities said investigators determined a man and a woman got into an argument with another man in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The second man fired a weapon, hitting the first man during the argument.
Police said the man who fired the weapon went to the leasing office of the apartment complex and attempted to get in. When he could not, police said he fired shots into the office. No one inside was injured. The man, whose identity has not been released, then “walked a short distance” away from the office, police said, and shot himself. Authorities said he died at the scene.
The wounded male shooting victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, police said. The woman was also taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, but she was not injured.Related Stories
