According to local news reports, Teo said the couple later changed their minds and refused to attend the interview. Despite being advised by the police to reconsider participating in investigations, they have since left Singapore and are staying abroad. "If they maintain their innocence, the investigation will give them the chance to vindicate themselves. They should participate, take the full opportunity to give their side of the story, and clear their names," Teo wrote in the reply.
