A man who died of stab wounds in Inglewood on Saturday was attacked randomly and without prior provocation, according to investigators with CPS yyc

Davidson’s family released a statement through Calgary police saying the family is in “complete shock and despair” following the tragic incident.They believe Davidson was randomly attacked with a knife, and managed to stumble outside the building where he collapsed. Several bystanders rushed to his aid but he died of his injuries at hospital.Following the incident, dozens of CPS members were brought in to search for the suspect, who was identified using CCTV footage.

“This was a tragic, senseless death that did not have to happen,” said Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta of the CPS Homicide Unit. “The suspect is known to police and we are actively advocating he remain in custody to ensure public safety. To Brett’s family and friends, our deepest condolences and our promise that we will do all we can to hold the accused accountable.”
