Police urge the man from the CCTV footage or anyone who may recognise him to come forward following the incident at the shop in Woodside Street, Coatbridge.

CCTV images of a man who police want to speak to have been released, as part of their probe into an attempted robbery in Lanarkshire

At the time, he was seen to be wearing a black jumper with grey and black shorts bearing a camouflage style pattern. Officers think he 'could assist them in their ongoing enquiries'. They urge the man, or anyone who might recognise him or those who have information about the incident to come forward.Detective Constable Lisa McMullen stressed that information could be passed on anonymously.
