Police have been granted more time
Police have been granted further time to speak to a terror suspect following a bomb scare at a Leeds hospital on Friday.
Wards on the Gledhow wing of St James’s Hospital in Leeds were evacuated after the suspect was detained at around 5am on Friday. Traffic was affected near the wing, with people unable to gain access to parts of the hospital site. Staff reported on social media that they had been moved to safety and a cordon was put in place.
