A 64-year-old Richmond man, who was driving the car that got hit, and a 67-year-old woman from Antioch, who was the front passenger, both died, the Oakland Police Department said in an emailed statement.reported that the two deceased were a couple and on their way to church when they were killed. A 48-year-old Richmond man riding in the back seat of the couple’s car was injured in the collision and rushed to the hospital, police said.The crash occurred in East Oakland just before 10 a.m.
“The impact of the collision caused the Lexus NX200t to roll over and collide into a parked vehicle,” police said. “The Lexus GS350 sustained major damage to the front.” The driver of the stolen Lexus, a 25-year-old Oakland man, fled the scene of the crash but was later arrested on suspicion of causing the fatal hit-and-run collision, according to police.
