A high-speed police chase ended in a horrific crash in Los Angeles County on Wednesday morning.
The pursuit of a suspected stolen vehicle started in Lakewood as the suspect led authorities through Artesia, Cerritos, Downey, Paramount and Lynwood. The white pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on the southbound 605 Freeway just before 10 a.m. in Long Beach before the suspect got off on surface streets in the area.
The pursuit ended just after 10 a.m. after the suspect crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection of Norwalk and Del Amo boulevards. Following the crash, the suspect got out of the car and made a run for it before he surrendered on the sidewalk. All the news you need to know, every day
