A Calgary man has been charged in relation to a homicide that occurred in Calgary last month yyc
On July 8, around 3 a.m., police were called to a residence in the 1900 block of Cottonwood Crescent S.E. for reports of a man in medical distress.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from injuries believed to be consistent with an assault. The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition. A police press release said on July 16, Kevin Allen Honish, 55, died in hospital as a result of his injuries. Investigators believe the assault occurred at a residence located in the 2500 block of 10th Avenue S.E. and was the result of a dispute between the victim and the accused, who were roommates at the time.
Police said Collin Dean Oxtoby, 48, has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to Honish’s death.Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through
