The mother of the 12-year-old posted on social media that she had taken her son skiing but he forgot his coat, so she loaned him hers. It was long and powder blue, but it allowed him to get on the slopes. When the patrol member approached, the assailant and his friend took off. The assault was because her son was being teased about wearing her coat, the mom said in her post.RCMP spokesman Cpl. Chris Marshall said police were called Jan. 21 about the Jan. 19 incident.He said the assault happened after a verbal confrontation initiated by the 13-year-old.The alleged perpetrator was arrested Jan. 22. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Windsor youth court next month.
