Footage showed the aftermath of the crash as police surrounded the area
Merseyside Police has issued an update following a crash involving a police car. Officers were called to Speke Hall Road, Speke , at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, June 5. It followed a report of a crash involving a marked police car which was responding to emergency incident in a Ford Fiesta. Footage obtained by the ECHO shows a police incident next to the Aldi on Speke Hall Road. In the video, a large number of police vehicles surround another car which appears badly damaged.

Both drivers sustained a slight injury, police said. An investigation into the crash is being carried out. Police said they are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or who has dashcam footage to contact them as soon as possible.
