Police have issued a statement
Police were called to a residential street in Nottingham after a suspected firearm was reportedly discharged at a property. Officers were called to an address in Rivergreen, Clifton, shortly after 12am, this morning .
and it was carrying out a "thorough investigation". Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas said: “Officers were called to an address in Rivergreen, Clifton, shortly after 12am, this morning after receiving reports of a suspected firearm being discharged at a property. “We were on the scene quickly and no one was injured during the incident. We’re carrying out a thorough investigation into what happened, and you may see more officers in the area but this is purely for reassurance purposes and so we can continue carrying out inquiries.
“If you heard anything, have any CCTV footage, or spotted anything suspicious please get in touch with us or make an anonymous report.” Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 4 of 25 July 2023, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
