Suspect arrested in fatal stabbing in North Park alley [Breaking]
A 32-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing another man Saturday in a North Park alley has been arrested, San Diego police said.
Alberto Barraza was arrested Sunday at his home on Bancroft Street near Dwight Street, not far from where the fatal attack happened, police said. Bazzara was booked into jail on suspicion of murder and remained held without bail Monday, according to online jail records. The victim was identified as a 23-year-old man, but his name was withheld because detectives had not yet notified his family.
Officers encountered the victim after they pulled over a red Ford Focus about 3:45 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and Texas Street. The car was speeding and police learned later that the driver was rushing to a hospital, police Lt. Jud Campbell said.When officers approached the car, they found the victim in the passenger’s seat. He was bleeding heavily from at least one stab wound to his lower body, Campbell said.
