Two more foreigners, who were among those rescued during the anti-human trafficking operations in a suspected Philippine Offshore Gaming Operation (POGO) hub in Las Piñas City, were discovered to be fugitives from their homeland. | ManilaBulletin

Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Hernia, director of the Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group , said the discovery of two POGO foreign workers as wanted in Taiwan brought to six the number of wanted foreigners discovered to have turn the country into a hiding place during the profiling of the rescued foreign workers.

“The active participation and cooperation of different foreign embassies, who assisted in documenting their respective nationals and cross-matching their records with the PNP ACG, led to the identification of the six fugitives,” said Hernia. The more than 1,500 Filipino rescued workers were already released after the processing while 600 of the more than 1,200 foreign workers are still being processed in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and representatives from embassies of their respective countries of origin.
