RISHI Sunak has warned Sir Keir Starmer would stamp out the “green shoots” of growth as the economy turns a corner.Writing in today’s Sun on Sunday, the PM says: “Just as our plan is creating the economic bounce back this country needs, Keir Starmer wants to stamp out those green shoots with his anti-business wheeze that would destroy jobs and stifle prosperity.
“It goes to show, he doesn’t understand business, the beating heart of our economy, and he never will.” Mr Sunak hailed a new 2p cut to National Insurance yesterday as the “best way to encourage work and drive growth”.Combined with a cut previously announced in the autumn statement, it saves an average worker on £35,400 more than £900 a year, the Government says.have confirmed they oppose ending the double tax on work which shows they will always prioritise taking your money over putting it back in your pocket.
