Monday should be warmer and humid in the D.C. area. The day could start foggy and should stay cloudy, though chances of rain are lower.
Warmer, more noticeable breezes from the south should bring moments of sunshine this afternoon through sunset, after a day dominated by showers and light rain. While precipitation is on the decrease, we could still see a thunderstorm or downpour into this evening. Tomorrow will be warmer and looks less rainy despite being mainly cloudy.
Warmer, more unstable air continues to move in behind a warm front. A shower, brief downpour or thunderstorm is possible, but overall they should remain fewer and farther between. Drizzle and fog may develop after midnight in the more humid air , helping temperatures hover in the low to mid-60s.There were be fog early and it will stay mainly cloudy, but rain chances and amounts both look lower. Temperatures will increase to the mid-70s or around 80 degrees.

Due to our longer-term rain surpluses from the start of 2024, we’re so far able to keep drought at bay.
