Despite morning rain, we warmed up with abundant sunshine this afternoon. Clouds and some raindrops keep us on the cool side Wednesday.
It was a wet overnight and early morning, especially along and west of Interstate 95.
Parts of the area to the northwest that weresaw the most rain, with a big chunk of 2 to 3 inches across our northern suburbs into northern Maryland. Around Interstate 95, it was closer to 1 inch in most spots. In recently record-dry Damascus, Md., 3.56 inches fell in about 12 hours.0.92" at Reagan National, 1.3" at Dulles and 1.47" at BWI.
