OAKLAND — A 33-year-old Pleasant Hill man has been arrested and charged in connection with a Nov. 4 fatal shooting here, court records show.
Darious Smith was arrested Dec. 6 and charged two days later with murdering 34-year-old Keison Lee and being a felon in possession of a firearm, records show. He is being held in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail, and is scheduled to enter a plea on Dec. 20.800 block of 81st Avenue, near San Leandro Street, a mostly industrial area. Police have described it as a drive-by shooting.electronic evidence and witness statements,” police wrote in court records.
Smith refused to speak to police and requested a lawyer when they tried to interview him, according to court documents. The complaint alleges he has a violent prior conviction for domestic violence.
