South Africa is one of several markets where the recommended retail price of the PlayStation 5 is getting hiked.
The PlayStation 5’s retail price is getting hiked in South Africa, its local distributor has told MyBroadband.earlier on Thursday stating the recommended retail price for its sought-after gaming console would be increased in select markets.
“Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the RRP of the PS5 in select markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, as well as Canada.”Ryan added that although the price increase was necessary in the current global economic environment and its impact on SIE’s business, the company’s top priority was improving the PS5 supply situation.
