French club Olympique Lyon were close to securing Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia's signature, but it now appears the Feyenoord player has decided he wants to join the Red Devils.
According to reports across Europe, the 22-year-old has had his head turned by a late hijacking of his expected move to Ligue 1, with Feyenoord's technical director having confirmed an agreement has been reached with United., it is now increasingly likely that Malacia will become the English giants' first signing under new manager Erik ten Hag.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, has reported that all that is left to be agreed is personal terms from the player's side, and that United are confident of completing the deal. Tyrell Malacia agents and Manchester United are in direct contact today in order to discuss agreement on personal terms. Feelings are positive on Man Utd side to get the deal done soon. 🔴Malacia has made 136 appearances for Feyenoord since breaking into the senior team in 2017, while he has been capped on five occasions for the Netherlands.
