Many other parks in the city have similar funding
A new play area is now being constructed in Nottinghamshire which will include slides and even a zip line. Construction on the new play area in Lambley Lane Recreation Ground, in Gedling, costing £100,000 is starting this week.
The work is expected to take six weeks to complete. The play area will be closed until construction work is finished. As part of the new play area, parents and children will be able to experience new swings, slides, and zip lines. The improvements being made will mean the old equipment and flooring will be replaced with new ones.
At the existing playground, the equipment is only suitable for children up to the age of 6 the new playground will be suitable for children up to the age of 12. The new and improved development is thanks to funding from FCC Communities Foundation, a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community, conservation, and heritage projects from funds donated by waste and resource management company FCC Environment through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Recently, a park in Radford: the Roland Street playground opened. The money for this park in Radford parents are impressed with also got funding from FCC Communities Foundation. Before the park’s revamp, the park had equipment that was over 30 years old on it.
