The Carling Black Label Cup has been the leading pre-season trophy which involves Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. The tournament allows fans to connect with both teams as they choose and select players for the clash.
With the involvement of fans, there have been calls to make it more accessible to supporters by moving to other provinces."The Carling Black Label Cup will happen this year and about fans, we will see. People must wait and see, including moving to other provinces. Maybe that is in the pipeline or maybe not, but for now I can't say much," Tshengana told the Siya crew.
With corporates already making waves in South African football, Ntshengane says as a company that works with Amakhosi and Buccaneers, the brand is monitoring the progress of ladies football. "Women are doing well and we are monitoring them, so in the future, we may look into tapping into that."
