It's part of a wider development for the village
Plans have been submitted for more than 150 homes in a growing Nottinghamshire village. A total of 152 more homes would be built off Shelford Road in Radcliffe-on-Trent, if a fresh planning application is approved by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
The application sets out the access, appearance, scale, landscaping and layout of phase three of the wider Shelford Road housing development, where many homes have already been built.
The latest phase relates to the eastern and southern edges of the overall development, aiming to create a "landscaped rural edge" and open areas for public open space and sustainable drainage. In addition, footpath routes have been provided throughout the scheme, allowing for improved pedestrian connectivity.Additionally, the phase three plans would create a central open space. This would include the previously approved play area.
The proposed housing mix for phase three consists 106 open market dwellings and 46 affordable dwellings. In a planning document, Pegasus Group on behalf of applicant William Davis Homes, said: "This phase primarily responds to the eastern and southern edges of the overall development, producing a landscaped rural edge and open areas for public open space and sustainable drainage.
"In addition, footpath routes have been provided throughout the scheme, allowing for improved pedestrian connectivity. Finally, Phase 3 creates a strong central open space, which includes the approved play space, and responds to the original masterplan concept."
