He spent nearly 200 days in the hospital battling a case of severe COVID-19.Now as he continues his recovery, he’s looking at life differently.Plano dad beats COVID-19 after 197 days in the hospital"Feel very good. It’s amazing where I’ve come from to where I’m at today," he said.

He spent 197 days in the hospital, 86 of those on ECMO, a life support machine that takes control of the heart and lungs.He’s been reading about that time through his wife, Emily’s, detailed online journal. "We’ve been out at restaurants and people will walk up like, ‘Sorry to interrupt but I know who you are. I know your story. We’ve been praying for you.’ It’s very inspiring. I’ve had some emotional moments in public with people I don’t even know," Josh said."I kind of threw my schedules out. I just had to live each day to its fullest," Emily said.
