Water supply along Govan Mbeki Drive, including Wetton Circle and Hanover Park Avenue, will be disrupted from 8 am to 6 pm. Key areas affected include the Lansdowne Corner Shopping Mall, Astron Service Station, and Epilepsy SA near Fynn Close.
This disruption is required to connect a newly installed pipeline to the existing water infrastructure, facilitating the relocation of a water main due to the ongoing IRT road construction project.A significant portion of the Wynberg area will experience a water supply shutdown from 8 am to 5 pm. During this period, the maintenance team will replace a faulty valve on the 225mm water main and carry out necessary pipeline connections on Main Road, Wynberg. Residents are strongly advised to prepare in advance for these interruptions by storing sufficient water for their needs. Water should be stored in clean, sealed containers to ensure its safety.
