According to a new BTS video, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has wrapped filming with a behind-the-scenes video showing the first look of the CGI apes. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the fourth installment in the rebooted Planet of the Apes series after the trilogy initially concluded Caesar's story. This trilogy began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011, continuing with 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.

Check out the tweet below:Related: New Planet Of The Apes Trilogy Plans Make Sense Now Everything We Know About Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be director Ball’s first time directing a Planet of the Apes film. Ball made his feature debut in 2014 with The Maze Runner and then directed two sequels, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and Maze Runner: The Death Cure. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ main cast includes William H. Macy , Freya Allen , Kevin Durand , and Dichen Lachman .

Specific characters for these actors are currently unknown. The plot has also not been officially published, but a recent report on Planet of the Apes 4 revealed a few more details about what might happen. According to the report, the film is set many years after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes and will explore Caesar’s legacy and its mistreatment by some ape societies.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ solution to this appears to be setting the film long after the events of the original trilogy. However, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes may follow Cornelius, Caesar's last living child, who will likely play a role in continuing his father's legacy. Owen Teague will play an older Cornelius.
