Mosimane is all business when he decides on taking up an appointment and isn't put off by the mismanagement of South Africa's biggest club.
Pitso Mosimane says that sentiment isn’t part of the equation when deciding his next move as a coach and won’t influence whether he takes the job at Kaizer Chiefs.The coach added that the enormity of the task also doesn’t put him off.Mosimane is among the names mentioned as potentialHowever, all the business elements of the decision have to be in place.Mosimane says that the club need to show him that they have a“The issue is what are their short and long-term plans,” Mosimane said.
“It is like in business, it works like that. But we are also businesspeople, and also this is a career, make no mistake. Ask Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp – this is not charity, this is not which club you supported when you were young. “There must be a proper plan and a proper vision, to say ‘do you want this?’ I can coach any team, in the country, in Africa, in the gulf, the US, Europe, but it has to be proper,” he added.Mosimane doesn’t think that the Kaizer Chiefs task is beyond him feeling that he could turn things around if given the reins.He insisted: “I have always had to put out fires, all my career. I will have to do things that were not done in the last six years,” Mosimane added.
“When I arrived at Mamelodi Sundowns, they had not won a single trophy in six years, and they were number 14 on the PSL log table. “It is like in business, it works like that. Kaizer Chiefs always had star players, and they were beating everybody, that is why the brand is big.”Many names have been linked with the job but fans clearly want Mosimane to take the job.
