Despite Orlando Pirates' damaging draw against Chippa United in the DStv Premiership, there is still a big factor in their favour, that it's too early to panic.

Pirates dropped points for the second game in three matches and now trail rivals and leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by five points on the table. The Buccaneers created a hype, along with the Brazilians, in the off-season that they had their pre-season in Europe, with the Sea Robbers based in Spain while Sundowns were in Holland.

And so, in spite of not making a lot of big name signings, what makes them different is that the players would have been taken out of their comfort zone playing against international opponents. They still need to show the value of their pre-season tour of Spain, which is at least unique for South African players.
