A former Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder has made the bold claim that the Buccaneers are African football giants despite the club eyeing its first continental success in 27 years.Pirates reached their first continental competition final since 2015 as they beat Libyan outfit Al Ahly Tripoli 2-1 over two legs in the CAF Confederation Cup at the weekend.
“A lot of teams put in plenty of energy in CAF competitions, and the way Pirates have performed in the league in the last six years it is different from the way they have played in cup competitions such as the Champions League, MTN8 and now Confed Cup, they are giants,” he reiterated.
