A player was slightly injured after pins and glass shards were left on the field following a state of the province address.

Pins and glass shards were left on the field following the KZN State of the Province address by Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube at the venue on February 28.

Last Friday, a match between the B teams of KZN Inland and Free State was called off after a Free State player was slightly injured due to the pins on the outfield, while a schools' match between Hilton and Michaelhouse, which was set to be played at Pietermaritzburg Oval, was moved to another stadium.

“The well-being of our players and the integrity of the game are paramount, and we take such issues seriously. In response to these concerns, CSA has decided to move KZN Inland’s upcoming home fixtures to alternative venues.
