Three men stand accused of murdering Mariah Makgato (47) and Lucia Ndlovu (34) on August 17, and feeding them to pigs.
The murder case against Onverwaght farm owner Zachariah Olivier and his two employees, Adriaan de Wet and William Musoro , has been postponed again in the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court.
Olivier, De Wet, and Musoro were expected to apply for bail in front of a full courtroom, but the court referred their case to the Polokwane Regional Court.The trio stands accused of murdering Mariah Makgato and Lucia Ndlovu on August 17 and allegedly feeding them to pigs. The women’s bodies were discovered after police were alerted to Makgato’s disappearance following her visit to the farm on the same day.It is alleged the trio trespassed on the farm to collect discarded food with other community members.The accused face charges of two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and defeating the ends of justice, while Musoro also faces a charge of contravening the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.
