The pies from Gornalls bakery are the stuff of local legend
A pie ‘superfan’ travelled all the way from Kent to Preston and then proceeded to spend £150 on pies, according to LancsLive. And the man made the herculean journey in order to sample one pie in particular.
The journey, without the Welsh detour, is a solid 316 miles one way, and can take over five hours. He then proceeded to splash the cash on the Preston-made delicacies. "He spent £150 on pies," Sandra said. "We often get people spending £50, £80 on pies and we sell out of them every day." The pies are also a bargain, with their renowned meat and potato costing £2.10, the butter pies at £1.95 and the plain beef pie just £1.45.
