At a cost of R4.7 million, this year's SONA is by far one of the cheapest on the taxpayers' pockets in recent history, but the red carpet is one of the highlights of the official opening of Parliament. So it was a welcome surprise to see that very few skimped when it came to their outfits.* * Receive IOL's top stories via Whatsapp by sending your name to 0745573535.
