MTN has switched on the first portion of a massive solar power system that will provide electricity to its 14th Avenue head office in Fairlands, Johannesburg.

MTN has switched on the first portion of a massive solar power system at its 14th Avenue head office in Fairlands, Johannesburg.Its end goal is to transform the head office into a solar park with 4.9 megawatts of solar PV and 2MW of battery storage.“This phased approach will inject 700 kilowatts into the 14th Avenue micro-grid, making the head office 40% less reliant on the municipal grid,” MTN said.
