The Phoenix Mercury announced Sunday they have"parted ways" with head coach Vanessa Nygaard.
The move comes a day after the Mercury were blown out by the Storm in Seattle, 97-74, in a game that saw the return of Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi after both had missed three games with injuries. The Mercury have the worst record in the WNBA and are in last place in the Western Conference.“We have chosen to make a change at head coach,” said Mercury General Manager Jim Pitman, in a statement released Sunday morning.
