As all of Waller-Bridge's campy ideas for No Time to Die were rejected, they'd be perfect to use for the foundation of the next Bond movie.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge worked on the No Time to Die screenplay, and while her best ideas went unused, they could be used for Bond 26. No Time to Die was the epic conclusion to Daniel Craig's five-movie James Bond series, and it killed him off in typically spectacular fashion.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Bond 26 is seemingly in limbo, as the only updates about the movie are that there aren't any updates. Bond producer Barbara Broccoli revealed that James Bond isn't even close to being cast, but they could be much closer when it comes to finding a writer. Four different writers worked on the No Time to Die script, one of whom was acclaimed comedy and drama screenwriter Waller-Bridge.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Writing Is Perfect For Bond 26 Though she's a great actor, her irreverent and punchy dialogue is what established her as a Hollywood force, but a lot of Waller-Bridge's No Time to Die ideas, unfortunately, went unused. Waller-Bridge seemingly blames herself for her work being rejected by MGM, explaining, "I should naturally have done a lot of Bond research... I didn't do a huge amount of research for it.

While a "camp" Bond movie might be worrisome for certain fans, Bond movies don't have to be solely funny or dramatic, and Waller-Bridge has proved with Fleabag that she can perfectly balance both. Waller-Bridge has also thrown herself into the world of Hollywood, as she's working on Amazon's Tomb Raider, is starring in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and, of course, worked on a James Bond movie.

Bond 26 Should Return To Its Campy Roots Craig's Bond movies were undoubtedly original in how they depicted a more realistic and grounded 007, but the franchise is long overdue a return to its campy roots. Spectre wasn't negatively received because it featured camp moments, but because they didn't seamlessly blend in with the rest of the very serious movie. Those funnier scenes stuck out like a sore thumb.
