This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield has refused to apologise over "queuegate" which saw him and co-star Holly Willoughby accused of jumping the line during the Queen's lying in-state.

Phil has now addressed the allegations for the first time on Dan Wootton's Tonight programme on GB News and said they had been "unfairly targeted", the Mirror reports. The 60-year-old said: "Why would I apologise?"You've already seen that 700 other journalists did exactly the same thing." Asked whether he felt "vindicated", he said: "I think that it was a shame that what happened, happened.

"The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back. In contrast, those paying respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
