Producer Pharrell Williams’ upcoming biopic, Piece by Piece, uses LEGO to tell his story distinctively, creating an interesting film.
Pharrell Williams reveals why LEGO is the star of his new biopic“Unlike most documentaries that rely on captured visuals and audio, LEGO allowed us a cinematic freedom. They let us illustrate both literally and figuratively what was being discussed,” Pharrell revealed. This choice, he believes, provided a distinct artistic licence that traditional methods couldn’t match. Pharrell’s decision to use LEGO was not merely about novelty.
“It’s the first of its kind,” Pharrell said. “This unprecedented approach was not only fun but also added a fresh dimension to storytelling.”Pharrell added another layer of intrigue by revealing that he did not inform any of the interviewees about the LEGO theme beforehand.“We wanted their reactions to be genuine and unfiltered.”The launch of a special LEGO set complements the film’s innovative approach.
The state wanted Katlego Mokoena, the magistrate presiding over Pastor Mboro’s panga case to be removed for alleged biasness. Kaizer Chiefs’ R40 million midfielder Edson Castillo was rumoured with a move to Egyptian giants Zamalek earlier this year.
