Healthcare workers belonging to the union have entered the second week of their industrial action over pay, which has disrupted services at a number of hospitals and clinics - across the country.
In KZN, striking nurses tried to prevent an ambulance transporting a critical child - from entering Stanger Hospital's trauma unit.Phaala says KZN and the Eastern Cape have been badly affected. "Those are the two provinces we are following up on a regular basis and also reinforcing the security."
