The 14-time PGA tour winner said he has stepped away from the game for a very good reason.
Kenny Perry was one of golf’s best, but he hasn’t played a round since 2021, and he revealed the heartbreaking reason why in an interview on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio this week.
“I’ll let the world know … my wife’s sick,” Perry said. “I’m her caretaker and I’m going to take great care of her.when his 62-year-old wife, Lesslye, began to have trouble following him on the course, and added that he would then have to “chase her down.” Perry said in the interview that he had consulted with “every” doctor in Nashville, but there’s no cure for his wife. And, while his golf days may be done, his devotion and character make it hard not to be a fan of Perry’s as he remains devoted to his wife.
