People are being urged to sign a petition against planned changes to Shropshire Council's recycling centres and green waste charges.Last month, following a review, the authority confirmed plans that will see all five of its household recycling centres remaining open – albeit with significant changes.

Now a petition has been launched opposing two of the planned changes – the green waste charge and the booking system. In terms of green waste, the consultation found that 92 per cent of respondents used the green bin provided by the council. The latest petition, which closes on September 11, questions how the changes reflect the responses to the consultation.
