As a footballer, Peter Crouch didn’t always get the appreciation he deserved. And yet the 6ft 7in striker scored more than 100 Premier League goals, made 42 appearances for England and created a memorable goal celebration: the robot. But in his second career he is getting all the plaudits. His 2018 book, How to Be a Footballer, was a bestseller, and his podcast, That Peter Crouch Podcast, is one of the most popular on the BBC.
