It might be “super corny,” but all Pete Davidson wants is to start a family of his own.
star admits, “[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid.” He added, “That’s like my dream.”
Davidson started to dismiss that fantasy, calling it “super corny,” but Hart—who is a father of four himself—insisted, “it’s not super corny it’s the best God damn thing you can do in life.” Davidson added that he thinks fatherhood would “just be so fun” and has also inspired him to become a better version of himself. “I’m just so excited for that chapter, so like that’s kinda just what I’m preparing for now,” he said.
The two comedians also discussed their difficult childhoods and how that trauma shaped the rest of their lives and their desire to work in show business. Davidson said, “I tell my friends that all the time, I’m like ‘if everything was fine, if my childhood was fine, I’d probably be a construction worker in Staten Island. I’d be like the happiest guy ever, but that weird shit that it does to you, made me love comedy.
Davidson has also previously spoken about the effect his father's death had on him, including being “in and out of mental health facilities” since he was nine years old and trying to drown himself in a pool when he was in the fourth or fifth grade. In a 2018 interview with
