The ECHO spoke with some of those on their way to see Pet Shop Boys at the M&S Bank Arena
Family members Sue Anne Zollinger, from Manchester, , Nyla Crosby and Karma Schwalger were some of the first in the queue. Nyla, from Memphis, and Karma, from Colorado, were over in Europe and had already seen the duo in Dublin. Karma jokingly referred to the three as "Pet Shop Boys roadies".
It was the first time they had seen the band and they told the ECHO they were great but "too many people were slow to get up and dance" at the Dublin gig. They have higher hopes for tonight - and although they have never seen music in Liverpool before they have been told "it's the best place on earth".
