Persona 3 Remake trademark sparks hopes of an imminent announcement persona3 persona Atlus
had originally been registered back in March of this year, had been further updated by Atlus today, June 7. It’s not the first time that Atlus has done this either, similarly updating domains for games like Persona Q2, Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight and even Persona 3’s own spin-off Dancing in Moonlight. A few days following the domains being updated for each of these over the years, their respective games were announced. So there’s certainly history here.
The game was originally released back in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, and is fairly highly regarded by fans. Though it came just before the massive Persona 4 brought the series more mainstream attention, its high school set RPG action features many of the hallmarks of the series that are still around today.
There’s been no official word from Atlus yet – or parent company Sega – but with the Summer Games Fest right around the corner, we could be hearing something soon. Of course, further speculation has been caused by a leak of what was reported to be footage from a Persona 3 remake project that was circulating earlier this year. Whether the signs are indeed pointing to a remake of Persona 3 – we’ll have to wait and see.
