Sad news to report
East Midlands Railway has confirmed a person was hit by a train in Nottinghamshire. The incident took place between Nottingham and Mansfield.
Emergency services and Network Rail are sending teams to site, with EMR expecting them to arrive on site at around 7pm. In statement on their website, EMR said: "Sadly, we have received reports of a person being hit by a train, between Nottingham and Mansfield. EMR currently expect the line to reopen within the next two hours. EMR expect their advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 9pm.
